Ioannis Kazazis
Born in Ioannina in 1939, he graduated from the Model Zosimaia School of Ioannina in 1957. He holds a degree from the Agricultural University of Athens (1963), a Master of Science in Food Science from the University of Reading (1971), and earned his Ph.D. in Agricultural Sciences with honors in 1976. He has been a professor at the Technological Educational Institute of Athens since 1974, where he teaches Quality Control and Quality Assurance. He serves as the coordinator for the institute at the Greek National Tourism Organization and represents it in the International Association of Universities in the field of viticulture and oenology. Since 1985, he has been an advisor at the Institute of Technological Education of the Ministry of Education, where he is involved in educational planning, curriculum development, and degree equivalency. He was the head of the Special Service for Technological Educational Institutes at the Ministry of Education from 1985 to 1988 and served as Deputy Chairman of the Secretariat of the Council of Technological Education during the same period. He has also worked in the Technical Service of the Agricultural Bank of Greece and the Ministry of Agriculture (1965-1974). He is actively involved in European Educational Programs, serving as the trans-European coordinator for Erasmus (1989-1997), Tempus (1990-1993), Tempus-Phare (1994-1997), Euroform (1993-1994), and Tempus-Tacis (1995-1996). Within this framework, he organized and led the international coordination of seven joint European master's degree programs in collaboration with 30 universities. He is the author of three books and 90 articles on technical and educational topics and is a member of eight scientific societies.
