Marina Vrelli - Zachou

Marina Vrelli - Zachou was born and raised in Ioannina. She studied at the University of Ioannina's School of Philosophy on a scholarship from the State Scholarships Foundation (IKY), specializing in Medieval and Modern Studies in 1978 and Historical Studies in 1980. She serves as an Assistant Professor in the Department of Folklore at the University of Ioannina's Department of History and Archaeology. Her research interests, writing, and teaching primarily focus on Costume Studies, Traditional Folk Art, and Craftsmanship.
