Ilektra V. Petrakou

Elektra Petrakou studied at the Department of Political Science and International Studies at Panteion University. She holds a master's degree in Political Science and a Ph.D. in ethnic relations from the University of Warwick. She teaches at the Department of Geography at the University of the Aegean and is a founding member and co-director of the Laboratory for Population Movements at the same university. Her research interests focus on issues of migration, asylum, diaspora, borders, and political geography.
