Andreas Riziotis

Andreas Riziotis was born in Athens in 1926 and studied at the Athens College. He received the Cambridge Diploma of English Studies (Literature, Poetry, Philosophy). He speaks English, Italian, Spanish, and French. He has translated the Rubaiyat (Quatrains) of Omar Khayyam from English (published by "Domos," 1993). He lives in Kifisia with his wife, Fili Symvoulidou. He is involved in poetry (Athens College Poetry Workshop) and poetic translations, including works by Dante, Pier-Paolo Pasolini, Petrarch, John Donne, and Federico Garcia Lorca.
