Jean Meynaud

Jean Meynaud was born in Carpentras, France, in 1914. He studied at the Universities of Aix-en-Provence and Paris. Holding a doctorate in law and diplomas from the Ecole libre des Sciences Politiques and the Centre Superieur de Banque in Paris, he taught at various institutions, including the Institut d'Etudes Politiques in Paris (1945-1960), the Ecole des Sciences Sociales et Politiques at the University of Lausanne (1955-1965), the University of Montreal (1965-1972), as well as the Universities of Aix-en-Provence, Amsterdam, Geneva, and others. From 1951 until his death in 1972, he was a Directeur d'Etudes at the Ecole Pratique des Hautes Etudes in Paris. He authored more than 40 works, a large number of academic notes, and numerous scientific articles.
