Alexandra Rozokoki

Alexandra Rozokoki was born in Athens. She studied classical philology at the Universities of Athens, Heidelberg, and Munich. In 1995, her doctoral dissertation titled "Erigone by Eratosthenes: Critical Edition and Commentary on the Surviving Fragments" (in German) was published by Winter-Verlag Heidelberg. She has worked in secondary education schools and at the National Library of Greece. From 2005 to 2013, she taught Greek Culture at the Hellenic Open University. Since 2003, she has been working as a Researcher at the Center for the Study of Greek and Latin Literature of the Academy of Athens. She has authored original scientific articles and published the following books in Greek: "Plato's Ion: Introduction, Translation, Comments" (Epikairotita Publications, 2002); "Anacreon: Critical Edition, Translation, and Commentary on the Surviving Fragments" (Academy of Athens Publications, 2006); "Helen of Sparta: The Importance of Origin and the Exploration of Her Identity" (Papailiou Publications, 2010). Her research interests focus on ancient Greek poetry: epic, lyric, dramatic, and Hellenistic.
