Sotiria Triantari - Mara

Sotiria Triantari - Mara (Thessaloniki, 1967) studied history and archaeology at the University of Ioannina, theology at the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki, and pursued postgraduate studies at the University of Tübingen in Germany. She holds a Ph.D. in philosophy (as a scholar of the State Scholarships Foundation) and continued her postdoctoral studies in Byzantine philosophy at the University of Athens (Faculty of Philosophy) with a scholarship. She has worked as a philology teacher in secondary and ecclesiastical education, was seconded to the Ministry of Education, the Pedagogical Institute, and the Center for Educational Research (1998-2001), and teaches philosophy at the Universities of Ioannina and Macedonia. She is the editor of the philosophy journal "Analekta," a member of the Hellenic Historical Society, the Hellenic Philosophical Review, the Societe Internationale pour l' Etude de la Philosophie Medievale (Belgium), among others. She has participated in international and national conferences in Greece and abroad, and her works have been published in reputable journals and newspapers. Her main independent works include: "Knowledge and Faith in John Philoponus" (2001), "Nikephoros Gregoras' Critique of Aristotle" (2001), "Ancient Greek - Philosophical Discourse. Plato-Protagoras and Aristotle's Politics" (School aids for the third grade of unified high school, 2001), among others.
