Michalis Spourdalakis

Michalis Spourdalakis was born in 1954 and studied Public Law and Political Science at the University of Athens. He continued his studies in Canada, where he also taught at universities in Ontario and Quebec. Since 1991, he has been teaching Political Sociology in the Department of Political Science and Public Administration at the University of Athens. His current research interests focus on issues related to the theory of political parties, Greek politics, theories of the state, the European Left, as well as a range of issues arising from transformations in the model of social organization. He is a member of the editorial board of the Greek Review of Political Science and part of the editorial team of the Socialist Register (London, Merlin Press).
