John Saunders

John Saunders holds a Bachelor of Science degree from Loughborough, a Master of Business Administration from Cranfield, and a Doctor of Philosophy from Bradford. He is a fellow of the British Academy of Management, the Chartered Institute of Marketing, and the Royal Society of Arts. He is also a professor of marketing and the director of Aston Business School in Birmingham. Previously, he has worked at the universities of Loughborough, Warwick, Bradford, Huddersfield, and Hawaii, and collaborated with the Hawker Siddeley Group and British Aerospace. He authored "The Marketing Initiative," co-authored "Competitive Positioning," and "Principles of Marketing: The European Edition." He has published over sixty articles in leading journals, including the Journal of Marketing, Journal of Marketing Research, Marketing Science, International Journal of Research in Marketing, Journal of International Business Studies, Journal of Product Innovation Management, and Journal of Business Research.
