Maria - Zoi Fountopoulou

Maria-Zoi Foundopoulou was born in Patras in 1968. She studied Classical Philology at the Department of Philology of the University of Athens, completed her postgraduate studies at the University Catholique de Louvain-La-Neuve, and holds a Ph.D. from the Department of Philosophy, Pedagogy, and Psychology of the University of Athens, where she currently serves as an Assistant Professor. Her research interests focus on the teaching of Ancient Greek Language and Literature. She has published the book "Learning and Teaching. Basic principles of learning and their educational application in philological subjects, Vol. A', Associative Psychology" and the book "Linguistic Proficiency, Theory and Practice" with Ant. Danassi-Afentaki, Ath. Michalis, K. Mylonas, G. Spanos. She is also responsible for the authoring team of the software "Homeric Epics" for the first two grades of Gymnasium and has published numerous articles on her topics of interest in scientific journals, both Greek and international, and in conference proceedings held in Greece and abroad. She is married to Fanis Tzaferis and has two children, 6-year-old Angelos and 3-year-old Athina.
