Sakis Tsilikis

Sakis Tsilikis was born in Alexandroupoli. He studied music and theater in Thessaloniki. Creative and active by nature, he engages with all forms of art and communication. He teaches at the drama school and conservatory of the "Piraeus Association." As a musician, he has released twenty records and numerous CDs featuring music and songs for children. He has set to music the works of many poets, including Ritsos, Elytis, Prévert, and Mayakovsky. His latest discography includes: "Morning Star" by G. Ritsos, "The Children of Necessity" by St. Mesimeris, and "Journey with Odysseus" by T. Karonis (an adaptation of Homer's "Odyssey"). He has also supported young artists out of ideology and has collaborated with many Greek singers on music stages. He has had a significant career in theater, which he considers his origin. He has collaborated with renowned actors such as Katrakis, Veggos, Vlachopoulou, Fyssoun, and all the actors of the younger generation. He worked with the National Theatre of Northern Greece and the National Theatre. In total, he has composed music for over 400 performances. Since 1975, he has collaborated with public television and all private channels. He composed music for over 20 TV series, such as "Fireworks," "Classmates," "Good Morning Life," and "I'll See You on the Ship." He also appeared as a presenter of cultural programs. He was a collaborator for all ERT programs, i.e., "A," "B," "C" programs, the inter-municipal station of Eastern Attica, and "9.31 Tik-Tak." He also served as a consultant for "Aegean FM," "Blue Sky," and "Atlantis." He collaborated with magazines and newspapers, such as "Tilerama" and the magazine "Exodos" as a theater critic. His writings were also featured in magazines like "Out," "Diva," "01," and "Music Café." Lastly, he wrote music reviews for the newspapers "Paron" and "Athinaiki."
