Peter William Atkins

Peter Atkins is a fellow of Lincoln College at Oxford University and the author of approximately 70 books for students and the general public. His books are bestsellers worldwide. A frequent speaker in the United States and around the globe, he has served as a visiting professor in France, Israel, Japan, China, and New Zealand. He was the founding chairman of the Committee on Chemistry Education of the International Union of Pure and Applied Chemistry (IUPAC) and a member of the IUPAC Division of Physical and Biophysical Chemistry.
