
Ageliki Mastromichalaki
Angeliki Mastromichalaki was born and raised in Chios. She studied Pedagogy, Psychology, and Philosophy. She teaches in Public Education and holds a Ph.D. from the University of Athens in the Department of Philosophy, Pedagogy, and Psychology. She writes children's books, both literary and educational, and also contributes scientific articles and book chapters on topics related to Children, Family, and Education. She has participated in the creation of school textbooks for primary education. Angeliki has been involved in research projects and international conferences focusing on Education - Teaching and Practice in the Classroom, Innovative Actions in Schools, new teaching methods, literature, and children's books. She teaches in training seminars for primary education teachers and frequently meets her readers in schools and book festivals throughout Greece and Cyprus.
She made her debut in the literary world with the work "Christmas-New Year-Epiphany" (1999), followed by "Greek Easter" (1999), "Me First and the Others" from the series Stories with Grandpa Dimitris, "Playful Cooking" (2003), and "All of Greece a Journey" (2005). In collaboration with her husband, Pantelis Zouras, she wrote "Christmas is Coming, and So is Epiphany" (2006). She also authored "The Virgin Mary Travels with the Children" (2008).
In 2011, she received the "K. P. Demertzis - for the Greek Teacher" award from the Circle of the Greek Children's Book.
