Spyridon P. Anastasiadis

The author Spyros Anastasiadis was born in Athens. He served in education for twenty years as a Mechanical Engineering teacher in the PE17 sector. He also taught at the Technological Educational Institute (TEI) of Athens, the Higher School of Pedagogical and Technological Education (ASPETE), and the School of Pedagogical and Technological Education (SELETE). He published articles in the Athenian press on educational reform and the improvement of the country's political life. He wrote seven technological books, which have been approved by the Technological Educational Institutes (TEI). He participated as a member of the Boards of Directors of Olympic Aviation and SELETE. He served as Deputy Governor of the Manpower Employment Organization (OAED) from 1994 to 1996. During the seven-year dictatorship of the colonels, he fought against the junta from start to finish. He was imprisoned in Tripoli prison and successively exiled to Kythera, Kerasochori Evrytania, and Thermo Trichonida—an "odyssey" that lasted approximately 40 months.
