
Lina Rozi
Lina Rozi was born in Athens. She graduated from the Department of Philology at the University of Ioannina, with a master's specialization in Theatre Studies (University of Essex) and Cultural Studies (The Open University), and holds a Ph.D. in Theatre Studies (Royal Holloway College, University of London). Her doctoral thesis focused on the political dimension of the Theatre of the Absurd ("The evolution of a subversive parole in the plays of Arthur Adamov, Eugene Ionesco, and Jean Genet"). She is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Theatre Studies at the University of Patras. Her research and teaching work revolves around the theory and interpretation of 20th-century theatre, particularly the models of analysis of the theatrical phenomenon derived from various fields of theoretical criticism (post-structuralism, psychoanalysis, cultural studies, postcolonial theory). Her publications include studies on contemporary Greek dramaturgy (Vasilis Ziogas, Pavlos Matesis, Iakovos Kambanellis, Akis Dimou) and contemporary Francophone dramaturgy (Jean Genet, Samuel Beckett, Helene Cixous).
