Agelos G. Siolas

Professor of Urban Planning in the Department of Geography and Regional Planning at the School of Rural and Surveying Engineering - National Technical University of Athens (NTUA). He earned his first degree from the School of Architecture at NTUA and pursued his postgraduate studies in Urban Planning (1970-72) at the Institute d’ Urbanisme de Paris - School of Social Sciences (EIESS). In 1982, he received his doctoral degree from the same university. He served as President of the School of Rural and Surveying Engineering (2010-2012) and has been the Director of the Department since 2000. He has represented Greece internationally and participated in numerous seminars and conferences. He has extensively published in local and international journals in the following areas: urban planning with a focus on the urban environment, public space design, and social issues of urban space.
