Georgios Dormparakis

Father Georgios Dombarakis was born in 1954 and raised in Piraeus. He studied Theology (1972-1976) and Greek Philology (1976-1980) at the School of Theology and the School of Philosophy, respectively, at the University of Athens. He also completed a two-year postgraduate program in Patrology at the School of Theology in Athens (1991-1993). For over thirty years (1979-2010), he taught as a theology professor in middle and high schools in the Attica region. In March 1986, he was ordained as a cleric in the Holy Metropolis of Piraeus, where he served until January 2013. Since then, he has been an integral part of the Holy Metropolis of Demetrias and Almyros. He has authored several books on theological and spiritual topics and has published two poetry collections. He is a married priest with four children and five grandchildren.
