Eirini Stathi

Eirini Stathi is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Cultural Technology and Communication at the University of the Aegean, where she directs the Laboratory of Audiovisual Applications and Communication. She studied the theory and semiotics of spectacle at the University of Bologna and holds a Ph.D. in History and Theory of Cinema from Panteion University of Athens. She taught as a doctoral candidate in the Department of Communication, Media, and Culture at Panteion University and has also taught in the Department of Theatre Studies at the University of Patras. She has authored books on the history and theory of cinema. Her articles on cinema and theater have been published in specialized journals in Greece and abroad.
