
Nikos Leandros
Nikos Leandros is a professor of economics at the Department of Communication, Media, and Culture at Panteion University and the Deputy Rector of Economic Planning and Development at the same university. He studied economics in London and Manchester (Salford University), where he earned his Ph.D. in economic sciences. He taught economics at the University of Salford and worked for several years in the Economic Studies Department of the Bank of Greece. He has edited a series of publications on the economics of the book in Greece and has previously served as a scientific advisor to the National Book Centre and as a research manager for the book market and publishing enterprises. He has published scientific articles and monographs primarily on topics related to media economics, the Information Society, industrial restructuring, and social security. He is the author of the books "Mass Print Communication in Greece: Economic and Technological Approaches" (Delfini Publications, 1992), "Political Economy of the Media: The Restructuring of the Media Industry in the Age of the Information Revolution" (Kastaniotis Editions, 2000), "The Internet: Development and Change" (Kastaniotis Editions, 2005), and "Business Strategies and the Media Industry" (Kastaniotis Editions, 2008).
