Ioannis K. Vagias

Giannis Vagias is a certified civil engineer from the National Technical University of Athens (NTUA) and holds a Ph.D. in engineering from the Technical University of Braunschweig, Germany. He is an associate professor in the Department of Civil Engineering, Metal Structures Laboratory at NTUA. He participated in the drafting committees of the Greek Concrete Code and the New Greek Seismic Code (NEAK). He is a representative of Greece and a member of the drafting committees for Eurocode 3, concerning steel structures, and serves as an engineering consultant for European and Greek companies on issues related to metal and composite structures.
