Ieromonachos Athanasios Gievtits

His Eminence Dr. Athanasios Jevtic, former Bishop of Zahumlje and Herzegovina, was born in 1938 in Serbia. He studied Theology in Belgrade (where he became a monk in 1960), Halki, Athens, and Paris. He served as a professor in Paris and as a professor and dean at the Theological Faculty of Belgrade. He authored theological works such as "The Word Became Flesh," "The Ecclesiology of Apostle Paul," "Hilarion Light of the World," and "Christ the Beginning and the End."
