Dimitris Mpourantonis

Dimitris Bourantonis is a Professor in the Department of International and European Economic Studies at the Athens University of Economics and Business and the Director of the Jean Monnet Centre of Excellence on "EU Multilateral Diplomacy." He has authored and edited a number of books, either independently or in collaboration, with the most recent being "The EU in UN Politics: Actors, Processes and Performance" (London, Palgrave/Springer, 2017). His scholarly articles have been published in prestigious academic journals such as Global Affairs, Cooperation and Conflict, Review of International Studies, Journal of Common Market Studies, International Negotiations, Politics, British Journal of Politics and International Relations, among others. His current research and writing focus on the international interactions of the EU, particularly its role as a new diplomatic power.
