Sofia Gavriilidou

Sophia Gavriilidou is an Associate Professor of Comparative Children's Literature at the Department of Early Childhood Education of Aristotle University of Thessaloniki. Her research and writing focus on issues related to the perception of homogenization and internationalization in children's literature, with a particular emphasis on classic characters in children's books, their extensions, and adaptations. She writes and translates children's books from Italian. She is the representative in Greece for the National Foundation - Study Center "Fondazione Nazionale Carlo Collodi" in Pescia.
