Paul Feyerabend
Paul Feyerabend (1924-1994), one of the most discussed and controversial philosophers of our time, was born in Vienna. In 1955, he left Austria for a professorship at the University of Berkeley. An advocate of a scientific methodology he described as "anarchistic," he supported the separation of science and state, asserting that every scientist has their own way of working. He taught philosophy and the philosophy of science at numerous universities in Europe and the United States. He passed away in 1994.
