Hagen Fleischer

Hagen Fleischer was born in Vienna in 1944. He studied History at the Free University of Berlin and has been residing in Greece since 1977. He is a professor of Modern History at the University of Athens, specializing in 20th-century Greek history. He has represented Greece in international research programs and served on international examination and advisory committees. He has authored numerous studies, particularly focusing on the period and post-war "legacy" of World War II. Among his works is the highly regarded reference book "Crown and Swastika: Greece of Occupation and Resistance, 1941-1944," which has been published in two volumes.
