Vaios Liapis

Vaios Liapis studied classical philology at the Universities of Athens and Glasgow. He has taught at the Universities of Cyprus, Montreal, Patras, and as a visiting professor at the École Normale Supérieure (Paris). He has been a member of the Institute for Advanced Study (Princeton) and a visiting researcher at the Universities of Princeton, Cincinnati, and Toronto. Since 2010, he has been teaching in the postgraduate program in Theatre Studies at the Open University of Cyprus. He has published monographs and articles on 5th and 4th century BC tragedy, ancient Greek sophistic literature, ancient Greek religion, the survival of ancient tragedy, and more. His most recent book is "A Commentary on the 'Rhesus' Attributed to Euripides," published by Oxford University Press in 2012.
