Alexandros K. Koffas

Mr. Alexandros Koffas was born in 1934 in Ellinika, Karditsa, and currently resides in Ilioupoli, Attica. He studied Philology at the University of Athens and Pedagogy at the University of Frankfurt, where he earned a Ph.D. in Pedagogy. He initially served as a philologist in Secondary Education and later as a Professor of Pedagogy in the Department of Preschool Education at the University of Crete in Rethymno. Among his books, which are aimed at candidates for teaching positions through ASEP, the most notable are the following six: 1) "General and Special Teaching Methodology: Psychopedagogical Problems, Pedagogical Issues, Teaching Plans, Interdisciplinary Approach to School Knowledge." 2) "Topics and Answers for the ASEP Teacher Competition: Branches and Specialties of Candidate Teachers, Exam Material in Pedagogy and Teaching Methodology. The Multiple Choice Method, Multiple Choice Questions in Pedagogy and Teaching Methodology with Correct Answers." 3) "General and Special Teaching Methodology for Preschool Education Activities." 4) "Aesthetic Education Activities in Kindergarten: Theory and Practice." 5) "Basic Problems of Preschool Education: An Empirical Pedagogical Approach to Kindergarten Issues." 6) "The Influence of the Family on the Child's Adaptation to Kindergarten." He is married to Mrs. Evangelia Kostoula, a mathematician, and they have two daughters, Maria-Efthymia and Konstantina.
