Andreas Mprouzos

Andreas Brouzos was born in 1960 in Megalo Peristeri, Ioannina. He studied Pedagogy, Psychology, and Sociology at the University of Frankfurt, where he earned his "Diplompadagoge" degree in 1985. In 1990, he received his doctorate from the Johann Wolfgang Goethe University in Frankfurt. From 1983 to 1985, he trained in Person-Centered Counseling at the "Society for Scientific Dialogical Psychotherapy" (Gesellschaft für wissenschaftliche Gesprächspsychotherapie). From 1983 to 1990, he worked in Adult Education in the state of Hesse, Germany, as a trainer and trainer of trainers. He also worked at the Frankfurt Youth Service with students facing learning difficulties and behavioral problems, as well as serving as a counselor to their parents (1985-1990). Concurrently, from 1986 to 1990, he was a research associate at the "German Institute for International Educational Research" (Deutsches Institut für Internationale Pädagogische Forschung). In 1992, he was elected Lecturer in the Department of Primary Education at the University of Ioannina, where he currently serves as an Associate Professor. He has authored the books: "Schulberatung in Griechenland: Eine Untersuchung über Beratungsbedürfnisse von Schülern der Lyzeen," Nomos Verlagsgesellschaft 1990; "The Educator as a Counselor and Guide: A Humanistic View of Education," Lychno 1995 (1998, 2nd edition); "Schule im Urteil deutscher und griechischer Oberstufenschüler(innen): Eine vergleichende Betrachtung," DIPF 1998. His scientific interests primarily focus on the fields of Counseling and Career Guidance, the Personality and Work of the Educator, the Pedagogical Relationship, and Single-Teacher and Small Schools. In these areas, he has published articles, studies, and research in Greece and abroad.
