Anastasios M. Kotsiopoulos

Anastasios M. Kotsiopoulos is a professor in the Department of Architecture at Aristotle University of Thessaloniki (A.U.Th.) and, since 2008, a corresponding member of the Academy of Athens. He studied at A.U.Th. (degree in architecture, doctoral degree, and habilitation) and at the University of Edinburgh (Ph.D.). He has extensive scientific and literary activity in the field of architectural theory, with his most well-known book being "Critique of Architectural Theory." He also has an extensive architectural portfolio. His buildings have received distinctions, the most notable being the 2000 Architecture Award from the Hellenic Institute of Architecture, and have been repeatedly published in Greece and abroad, most recently in the global atlases "The Phaidon World Atlas of Architecture" and "The Phaidon Atlas of 21st Century World Architecture."
