Viky Flessa
She was born on April 15, 1966 in Nafplio but grew up in the Argos area. In her teenage years, she was a high jump champion. She later studied Classical Philology at the School of Philosophy of the University of Athens. Afterwards, she entered the Athens Law School, from which she graduated.She worked for the newspapers Kathimerini and Mesimvrini, various magazines, radio stations (Athina 9.84, ERA 4), and television channels (ANT1, Tempo, Star). She is a regular member of ESIEA (since 1995), a member of the European Network of Greek Women Journalists, the Panhellenic Association of Philologists, Amnesty International, and ActionAid.Since 2003, she has hosted the interview show Sta Akra (the longest-running on Greek television), which aired on NET until June 2013 (when ERT was closed by government decision). In the fall of the same year, the show began airing on DT, which was renamed NERIT in May 2014. From 2015 (with the reopening of ERT) until 2017, the show aired on ERT1, but in 2018 it moved to the ERT2 schedule, where it remains to this day.In 2019, she was a candidate for the European Parliament with New Democracy, but was not elected. Since October 2020, she has co-hosted (with Georgios Babiniotis) the show Se Proskyno, Glossa, which is broadcast on the Parliament Channel.
