Giorgos - Menelaos Marinos

George Menelaos Marinos is a poet, songwriter, and storyteller. He was born and raised in Athens. Early on, he became immersed in the troubadour scene at the Plaka music clubs. In the early 1960s, he set off with nothing but a suitcase full of dreams to travel across Europe. He spent a significant amount of time in France and Switzerland before settling in Denmark in 1965, where he started a family and authored numerous books. In Denmark, he worked as an educational clown for several years and created the "suitcase theater." Many of his books have been translated into Danish and Swedish for children and have been successfully published in these countries. Additionally, he has set many of his songs to music, which have been released in the Greek music industry. To date, he has written 36 prose and poetry books, as well as children's theater, and his poems are included in the first and second-grade readers of primary schools. Exceptionally multi-talented, he is known as an educator, prose writer, poet, and composer, while also working as a clown in many countries, including Denmark, Sweden, Russia, Italy, Switzerland, Catalonia, and others. In this latter role, he has appeared on children's television programs in Greece. In recent years, he has been living permanently in Aegina.
