
Leia Vitali
Lea Vitali was born in Athens and hails from Constantinople. She has published four novels ("Anna Ch.", "The Translator's Belly", "The Terrorism of Memory", "The Tale of Great Fear"), two short story collections ("The Smell of Black", "Dark Mothers"), and has written eight plays ("Evanna", "Gin Fizz", "Roast Beef", "Beasts in the Warehouse", "The Meal", "The Big Game", "Love Me!", "My Mother"). Her works have been staged in Athens, Cyprus, and London. She has also written scripts for film, television, and radio. She studied Law, Psychology, and Journalism. Lea has worked as a journalist and copywriter. She has been honored with the Pan-European Rizzoli Award for her work as a copywriter, the Tranolys Grand Novel Award for her historical novel "The Tale of Great Fear", and twice with the State Theater Award for her plays "Roast Beef" and "The Meal".
