Sofronis A. CHatzisavvidis

Sophronis Chatzisavvidis is a professor in the Department of Early Childhood Education at Aristotle University of Thessaloniki (A.U.Th.). He was born in Thessaloniki in 1950. A graduate of the Faculty of Philosophy at A.U.Th., he pursued postgraduate studies in Linguistics, Pedagogy, and Philosophy at the Universities of Thessaloniki and Brussels. He has taught courses in Linguistics and the Didactics of the Greek Language in various university departments in Greece and Cyprus. He has published ten books and approximately one hundred papers on linguistic and language pedagogy topics in Greek and international scientific journals. His scientific interests include the Modern Greek language, its teaching, its variety, and journalistic discourse.
