Alkiviadis Tsimpiris

Dr. Alkiviadis Tsimpiris is an Assistant Professor at the International Hellenic University, in the Department of Information and Communication Systems Engineering. He was born in Serres and received his Bachelor's degree in Physics from the University of Ioannina. He completed his first doctoral dissertation at the University of Ioannina on the topic: “Study of the Conformational Space of Flexible Molecules using Molecular Mechanics/Dynamics and Quantum Chemistry” and his second doctoral dissertation at the Faculty of Engineering of the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki, on the topic: “Knowledge Discovery from Time Series Databases: Feature Selection and Categorization.” Since 1990, he has gained extensive research, educational, and professional experience in the fields of Computer Science, Databases, Knowledge Discovery from Big Data, Analytics, Deep Learning, Educational Robotics, and has participated in numerous research projects. In these research areas, he has published a significant number of articles in international and national journals as well as in scientific conferences.
