Stefanos I. Pesmazoglou

Stefanos Pesmazoglou, son of the politician Yiangos (Ioannis) Pesmazoglou (1918-2003), was born in 1949. He studied economic and social sciences at the Universities of Cambridge and Oxford. After 1977, he worked in the Research Department of the Bank of Greece. He teaches in the Department of Political Science and International Studies at Panteion University. His research, writing, and teaching work covers educational, political, and ideological aspects of the post-war Greek and Southern European context. Major publications include: "Parallel Lives in the European South," Paratiritis Publications, 1986, and "Education and Development in Greece 1948-1985: The Divergence of a Relationship," Themelio Publications 1987, 2nd edition 1999.
