
Vasiliki Derlou
She was born in Heraklion, Crete, in 1981, but grew up in Volos, where she completed her schooling. She is married and has three children. She studied Sociology at the University of the Aegean. She completed her internship at the Greek Ombudsman and later pursued postgraduate studies at the Open University of Cyprus in "Banking and Finance" and at the University of Western Macedonia in "Bilingual Special Education and Teaching." For the past seven years, she has been working as a Substitute Special Education Teacher in Secondary Education across various regions of Greece. She is passionate about helping those in need, especially students of all ages. The sensitive field of special education requires a lot of love, patience, and persistence, which is why she strives to continually educate herself and specialize in Special Education through seminars, proficiency in Braille writing, and knowledge of Greek Sign Language.
