Sifis Michelogiannis

Sifis Michelogiannis pursued his medical studies at the University of Athens up to the third year. He is a graduate of the School of Political Sciences in Athens, the Law School of Thessaloniki, the Franco-Hellenic School of Chania, and the Department of Philology at the French Institute of Athens. As a lawyer in Athens, he served as a Member of Parliament for Chania for several years. He was the head of the Greek parliamentary delegation to the Council of Europe and holds the title of Honorary Member of its Parliamentary Assembly. He is a member of the Coordinating Committee of the International Society of Friends of Nikos Kazantzakis, vice-president of the Greek Section, and responsible for the Crete Division. He is a founding member of the National Research and Studies Foundation "Eleftherios Venizelos." He regularly writes articles for "Chaniotika Nea" on literature, arts, culture, and society.
