
Carlos Fonseca Suárez
Carlos Fonseca Suárez was born in 1987 in San José, Costa Rica. He spent much of his childhood and adolescence in Puerto Rico. He studied in the United States, initially at Stanford University, where he earned his degree in Comparative Literature. The next step in his academic journey was Princeton University, where he completed his Ph.D. in Latin American Literature and Culture. He currently resides in London and works at the University of Cambridge. His writings have been published in prominent publications in both the Spanish-speaking and English-speaking worlds. In 2014, he released his first novel, "Colonel Lagrimas" (original title: Coronel Lagrimas), becoming the youngest author ever published by the prestigious Anagrama publishing house. In 2017, he was included in the Bogota39 list of the best Latin American writers under 40. That same year, his second novel, "Museo Animal," was published to critical acclaim.
