Michalis Dimopoulos

Michalis (Michel) Dimopoulos studied film in France and began his career as a film critic for "Avgi" and the magazine "Contemporary Cinema" in the 1970s. He collaborated with various publishing houses and made significant contributions to the Greek film scene when he took on the role of artistic director at the Thessaloniki Film Festival (1992-2004), successfully elevating it to an international level with notable acclaim. He worked harmoniously with Greek and international film organizations, organizing tributes to renowned filmmakers alongside Dimitris Eipidis as part of the "New Horizons" program, and collaborated with journalists, filmmakers, and prominent figures in the world of cinema.
