Despoina PSatha

Born on March 13, 1992, in Limassol, she was a student at the Limassol Music High School - Marios Tokas, where she participated in traditional song competitions and choirs. In 2014, she graduated from the Department of Music Science & Art at the University of Macedonia, specializing in Folk Song. In April 2016, she was awarded the Second Prize in the "Traditional Song" category at the Panhellenic Music Competition of the UNESCO Club for Arts & Sciences of Greece, held in Athens. From February 2015 to 2017, she pursued postgraduate studies in the same department with a focus on "Folk Music Culture: Interpretation & Performance of Folk Song." Specifically, she studied the voice of Roza Eskenazi with the theme: "Roza Eskenazi: Pre-war Rebetiko & Traditional Songs, a study of vocal technique and interpretation, and transcription into sheet music." She performs in Greece and Cyprus.
