Vagelis Lappas

Vangelis Lappas was born on March 28, 1975, in Athens. He holds a UEFA B & AFC-GK Level 1 certification. He has attended numerous seminars in Greece and abroad and has been a speaker at seminars and conferences both domestically and internationally for the past 8 years. From a very young age, he was involved in football, particularly in the position of goalkeeper. He started at the Aetos Korydallos Academy and played for several amateur teams, as well as in the Greek Third Division with Keratsini. His coaching career began early in 1998. His first steps were at the Amfiali Academy (1998). Subsequently, in 2001, he worked for 4 years at the Aetos Korydallos Academy. He then collaborated as a goalkeeper coach with first (men's) teams such as Moschato, Proodeftiki, Panelefsiniakos, Haidari, and Fostiras. In 2010, he joined the Panathinaikos Academy, where he worked until 2015. He then took over the first (men's) team of Panathinaikos while also overseeing the Academy, specifically focusing on goalkeepers. In the 2016-17 season, he reached an agreement with Al Dhafra FC, a team competing in the Arabian Gulf League based in Abu Dhabi. Since the 2018-2019 season, he has been working as the head of goalkeeper training for the Olympiacos academies.
