Anna Agelopoulou

Anna Angelopoulou was born in Thessaloniki in 1951, where she studied Greek philology. Since 1975, she has been living and working in Paris. She is a social anthropologist and holds a doctorate from the Ecole des Hautes Etudes en Sciences Sociales. She has published the books: "Greek Fairy Tales A - The Fairy Tale Maidens" (Estia, 1991) and "Sarakatsani Fairy Tales" (Angeliki Hatzimichali Foundation - Agra, 2002). Together with Aigli Brouskou, she has published three volumes of the "Greek Catalogue of Fairy Tales" (National Research Foundation), which are based on the Georgios Megas Archive. The first volume has been translated into French.
