
Panagiotis Anastasiadis
Panagiotis Anastasiadis, the fifth of six children of Giorikas and Fotini, was born in Kefalari, Drama, in 1935. After attending elementary school in Kefalari, he graduated from the Classical Gymnasium of Drama and studied Medicine at the Ludwig Maximilian University of Munich. In 1968, he married Paraskevi Angelaki in Munich, and they had three children: Aristotelis, Achilles, and Alexandros. He worked as a gynecologist and lecturer for many years in Germany and subsequently at the University of Ioannina and the Democritus University of Thrace as a professor of the Obstetrics and Gynecology Clinic, which he directed from 1985 to 2001. He is considered one of the founding members of the Medical School of the Democritus University of Thrace in Alexandroupoli. After his retirement in 2002, he resides in Kefalari, Drama.
