Paraskeyi Foti

Paraskevi Foti is the Coordinator of Educational Work for Primary and Secondary Education at the 3rd Regional Center for Educational Planning (PEKES) of Attica under the Ministry of Education and a former head at the 4th Kindergarten of Agia Varvara. She studied piano and advanced theoretical music at the National Conservatory of Athens and completed her Master's degree with a thesis on intercultural education and diversity management. She earned her second degree from the Department of Philosophy, Pedagogy, and Psychology at the University of Athens, specializing in Psychology, and completed her doctoral dissertation with honors on the topic: "The Contribution of Ancient Greek Language and Art in Preschool Education through Aesop's Musical Myths and the Added Value of ICT." Her first book, titled "Diversity, Prejudice, and Stereotypes in the Classroom: Management Methods by the Educator" (published by Grigoris, 2016), was selected as a university textbook at Harokopio University. She also contributed to a collective volume on Teaching Scenarios through ICT (published by Grigoris, 2017). She has published in the proceedings of international and national conferences as well as in scientific journals. She has a keen interest in Information and Communication Technologies and their contribution to teaching, and she actively supports open software as an eTwinning and Moodle trainer. She is a scientific collaborator in the Department of Early Childhood Education and Care at the University of West Attica, teaching "Children's Literature" and "Pedagogy of Image," and in the Interinstitutional Postgraduate Program "Pedagogy through Innovative Technologies and Biomedical Approaches."
