Triantafyllos Karatrantos

Triantafyllos Karatrantos was born in 1982 and hails from Atalanti, Phthiotis. He is an international relations expert specializing in security and foreign policy issues. He is a doctoral candidate focusing on new and asymmetric threats and European Security. He studied international relations and European studies at the University of the Aegean, the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens, and the University of Trier. Since 2012, he has been a Professor at the National Security School, teaching on topics such as Migration and Security, Intercultural Policing, Radicalization, and Community Policing. He is a scientific collaborator at the Center for Security Studies (KEMEA), and since 2005, when he received his first funding from the Youth Program, he has been involved in European and national funding for research and educational programs. He regularly contributes articles to the newspaper TA NEA and is a member of the Editorial Board of The Books’ Journal. He has participated in numerous conferences, workshops, working groups, and schools on security issues and has delivered speeches and presentations in Greece and abroad. His articles have been published in Greek and international scientific journals.
