Eyagelos Roussos
Evangelos N. Roussos was born in 1931 in Ermoupoli, Syros. After completing his basic education in his hometown, he studied philology at the University of Athens as a scholarship recipient of the State Scholarships Foundation (I.K.Y.) and pursued classical philology and philosophy at the University of Bonn as a Humboldt Foundation scholar. He holds a Ph.D. with honors from the University of Thessaloniki. He worked as an editor at the research centers of the Academy of Athens and as an editor and special consultant on ancient studies for Ekdotiki Athinon. His publications include: "Heraclitus in the Enneads of Plotinus" (doctoral dissertation, 1968), "Heraklit-Bibliographie" 1971, "Meno, the Student of Gorgias" 1971, "Political Thought in Thessaly in the 5th Century BC" 1972, "Samples of a Dictionary of the Presocratics" 1973, "The Cosmology of Miletus" 1974, among others.
