Lena Fatourou

Lena Fatourou was born and lives in Athens. She has studied applied aesthetics, marketing, sales techniques, design, and decor. She worked as a manager in a company specializing in aesthetic and medical aesthetic equipment. Additionally, she has been a freelancer, running a paramedical services institute and teaching at aesthetics schools. She attended creative writing courses titled "The Evolution of Verse from the Tenth Century" by poet Panagiota Christopoulou Zaloni. She also participated in creative writing seminars on prose and theatrical scriptwriting with the team of author Dimitris Varvarigos, under the auspices of UNESCO, Arts of Speech, and Sciences. Her love for literature began when she was still a student, earning several accolades for her essays. In recent years, she has been actively involved in poetry and prose. She has published two poetry collections titled "Of Love and Life" and "Silken Atlases," a novel titled "Sandra, the Seamstress of Angels," and has contributed to two collective poetry albums titled "Intelligentsia" by the Petroupolis Literary Club. She is a member of the Panhellenic Union of Writers, the Petroupolis Literary Club, the Ilion Literary Club, XASTERON - as a special secretary - and the Hellenic Cultural Association of Cypriots in Greece. Her poems are published in literary magazines and various online blogs. She has received awards for her poems, short stories, poetry albums, and a novel from the "Union of Greek Writers," the "Café of Ideas" named "Sikeliana," the "Hellenic Cultural Association of Cypriots in Greece," and the "Xasteron" Literary Club. In October 2016, she was awarded the ARISTEION by UNESCO of Kefalonia, Ithaca, and Zakynthos for her short story. In the seventh World Literary Competition of the "Hellenic Cultural Association of Cypriots in Greece," her novel "Guilty Secret" was awarded as the book of the year 2016.
