Sotiria Kalasaridou

Sotiria Kalasaridou was born in Thessaloniki in 1977. She studied Philosophy and Pedagogy at the School of Philosophy of the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki, and her postgraduate studies focused on School Pedagogy with an emphasis on Historical Pedagogy. In 2011, she was awarded a Ph.D. from the Department of Primary Education at A.U.Th. Her doctoral dissertation falls under the field of Literature Didactics and is titled "Teaching Poetry in Secondary School: Student Response and the Emergence of Their Subjectivity." Her studies and articles have been published in numerous scientific journals and conference proceedings. She has taught at the Department of Library Science at A.T.E.I. of Thessaloniki and collaborated with the Center for the Greek Language on research regarding the teaching of language courses in primary and secondary education. In 2015, she designed the educational program for the exhibition held for Manolis Anagnostakis at the Museum of Byzantine Culture in Thessaloniki, titled "I speak... evidence and testimonies." She conducted postdoctoral research with a scholarship for excellence and innovation from the Research Committee of A.U.Th. (ELKE) for the Department of Primary Education (Excellence Scholarships Program 2015). Her reviews have been published in the magazines O Anagnostis, Entefktirio, and Frear.
