Panagiotis Zestanakis

Panagiotis Zestanakis studied History at the University of Athens, specialized in Modern History at the University of Crete, and Gender Studies at the Research Institute for History and Culture at Utrecht University. He holds a Ph.D. in Modern European History from the University of Crete. His research interests focus on the history of everyday life in post-dictatorial Greece, the history of media and representations, and the uses of modern history on the internet. He has worked on research projects, participated in conferences, and delivered lectures at universities in Europe and South America. He is the co-editor of the volume "(Anti)speaking to Certainties: Genders, Representations, Subjectivities" (Athens: OMIK, 2013) and has published articles in Greek, English, and Spanish in collective volumes and academic journals such as Film, Fashion and Consumption; Transfers: Interdisciplinary Journal of Mobility Studies; and Journal of Greek Media and Culture.
