Souzanna Verny

Suzanna Verny is a graduate of the School of Slavonic & East European Studies at the University of London (BA History, First Class Honours) and holds a PhD from King's College London on the topic of Greek political parties and the debate on EEC accession, 1974-1979. She has served as a Visiting Researcher at the University of Bradford (1992-95 and 2000-02) and the University of Bristol (1994-98), and as a Specialist Scientist in the Human Rights Circle of the Greek Ombudsman (1998-2001). Currently, she is an Assistant Professor of European Studies at the Department of Political Science and Public Administration at the University of Athens and a Visiting Researcher at the University of Bradford (2003-05). Since 1999, she has been the Editor of the quarterly journal "South European Society & Politics" (London: Taylor & Francis, ISSN 1360-8746), and she was the Associate Editor of the "Journal of Modern Greek Studies" (2000-02).
